I will not wear lilac or drink cheap sparkling wine ... But I will grit my teeth and do what I can to make my daughter's wedding all that she wants it to be (even if her father doesn't have a clue how much this will really cost).

Just stumbled across your blog and it has made me laugh, have a daughter of my own (not at home) who is about to start living with her boyfriend whilst they finish their PhDs - so far no talk of weddings. I have added you to my blogroll.
BTW in the news today there was an item about Havering Council having made a complete muck-up over some civil weddings a year or so back and now having to pay compensation to all the couples whose marriages were in doubt.
