5 flowers to avoid at weddings

In the language of flowers candytuft is believed to signify indifference.

Other flowers one should avoid?
*dahlias = capriciousness
*hydrangeas = heartlessness
*oleander = caution
*larkspur (pink) = fickleness

It's probably as well that my daughter has chosen lillies and roses.

Apparently dahlias are back in fashion
And not just for gardens …

bbc.co.uk says
If you're looking for colour from mid-summer until the first frosts of autumn, then dahlias are hard to beat. After years in the doldrums, these colourful beauties are back in fashion, with the dark-leaved 'Bishop of Llandaff' leading the way.

And the Observer advises
Q: Where can I buy some hair accessories for summer? I want something quite 'wow' to make a bit of a statement.

Johnny Loves Rosie (www.johnnylovesrosie.co.uk) is always a good brand to check out if you want to jazz up your hair. This season is no exception. From camellias and bold dahlias through to crystal bobby clips, you'll definitely find your 'wow' factor here.
